OPERATIONAL MAP

Stadium accessSignal Iduna Park

GETTING TO THE GROUND

Take the U-Bahn (U45 or U46) to 'Westfalenhallen', which is a 5-minute walk from the ground. Alternatively, the 'Signal Iduna Park' train station is served by regional trains. On match days, the U-Bahn station 'Stadion' is the closest drop-off for away fans.

Warning: Match tickets often include free travel on the VRR transport network on the day of the game. Keep your ticket handy for ticket inspectors.

Away supporters are located in the North Stand (Nord), specifically in blocks 08, 60, and 61 (standing) and 70, 71, and 75 (seating). For European matches, standing areas are converted to seats. Entry is via the 'Eingang Nord' (North Entrance).

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Bags larger than A4 size
  • Power banks
  • Professional cameras
  • Glass bottles and cans

CRITICAL

The 'Yellow Wall' (South Stand) is strictly home-fan territory; avoid wearing away colors near it. The stadium operates a strict cashless system for food and drinks. Bag drop facilities are limited (cost €0.50).

Exit routes & evacuation

Follow signage to 'U-Bahn' or Shuttle Buses (if applicable).

Exit via Eingang Nord. Fans are usually filtered towards the U-Bahn or parking lots.

MISSION LOGISTICS

Hub

Dortmund (DTM) / Düsseldorf (DUS)

Transfer

DTM is closest but has fewer flights; take the Airport Express bus to Dortmund Hbf. DUS is a major hub; take the regional train (RE1, RE6) directly to Dortmund Hbf (approx. 50 mins).

Tip

Düsseldorf Airport is often the better option for international flights due to better connectivity.

RECOMMENDED ZONE

The Alter Markt (Old Market) in the city center is the traditional gathering spot with many pubs and bars. The Kreuzviertel area offers a more relaxed atmosphere with trendy cafes and bars.

RECOMMENDED

Alter Markt / City Center offers good transport links and is generally safe for away supporters.

TACTICAL INTEL

GATHERING POINT

CENTRAL MEETING POINT

Alter Markt (Old Market Square)

Around 2km from the stadium, this is the main hub for fans. Police often monitor this area. From here, you can take the U-Bahn from 'Stadtgarten' to the stadium.

POLICE PROFILE

EFFICIENT

Dortmund police are experienced with heavy football traffic. They generally allow respectful fan gatherings but will intervene quickly if pyrotechnics are used. Follow their instructions for the safest route to the North Entrance.
