For Olympiastadion: U-Bahn U2 to 'Olympiastadion' or S-Bahn S3/S9 to 'Olympiastadion'. For Alte Försterei: S-Bahn S3 to 'Köpenick', then walk 15 min.
Warning: Check your stadium destination carefully. They are on opposite sides of the city.
Away fans are situated in the area around the Marathon Gate, specifically blocks G and H. Access is via the 'Südtor' (South Gate) off Flatowallee/Jesse-Owens-Allee. The stadium is historic and huge, so expect long walks to your seat.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
CRITICAL
The stadium has a cashless payment system (card/mobile only). Bags larger than A4 are strictly prohibited. There is a bag drop container at the South Gate, but capacity is limited.
Return to the S-Bahn station via the main plaza.
Exits are clearly marked. Use the wide concourses to exit via the South Gate.
Hub
Berlin Brandenburg (BER)
Transfer
Take the 'FEX' (Airport Express) or regional trains (RE7, RB14) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (approx. 30 mins). S-Bahn S9 also runs to the city but takes longer.
Tip
BER is the only active airport. Taxis to the city center are expensive (€50+); trains are much efficient.
Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt are central and busy with tourists. For nightlife, Simon-Dach-Straße in Friedrichshain has countless bars. Breitscheidplatz near Zoologischer Garten is a common meetup point for fans traveling from the west.
RECOMMENDED
Alexanderplatz / Friedrichshain offers good transport links and is generally safe for away supporters.
GATHERING POINT
CENTRAL MEETING POINT
Breitscheidplatz (near Zoo Station)
A frequent gathering spot due to excellent transport links (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and regional trains) directly to the stadium. Plenty of bars and space for large groups.
POLICE PROFILE
STRICT
Berlin police are omnipresent on match days, especially on the S-Bahn lines to the stadium. They are strict about pyrotechnics and public disorder. Follow directions at the station to avoid mixing with home ultras.
