Metro Line 3 (Blue) goes directly to Syntagma/Monastiraki (40 mins, €9). Express Bus X95 goes to Syntagma (€5.50). Taxis cost a flat rate (€40 day / €55 night) to the center.

The Metro is safe and reliable. The X95 bus runs 24/7.
Monastiraki and Plaka are beautiful, historic, and full of restaurants. Psiri is great for nightlife. Gazi is a clubbing district. Syntagma Square is the central hub.

Monastiraki / Plaka offers good transport links and is generally safe for away supporters.

Monastiraki is the usual social hub. For official escorts, the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro) is often used as the bus boarding point.

Greek Riot Police (MAT) are extremely heavily armed and aggressive. Tear gas is frequently used nearby. Do not approach them or argue. Stay in the group.
